There were two identical postcards published to commemorate the Görlitz Stamp Show held on 8th Jan 1938. The cards were identical except that PP122-F-2 features a 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp and PP142-F-1 has a 5Rpf Luftpost stamp.

PP122-C-72, Published for The Day of the Stamp held in the Old Town Hall in Halle. The reverse side of the card has an image of Halle Town Hall with a Halle stamp between the two spires of the building. There was a second postcard available at the show and it features an image and a stamp of Georg Friedrich Händel and is without a pre-printed stamp.

In addition to the card below there is another version which has the same image and 3Rpf Hindenburg pre-printed stamp but does not have the 5 lines of text that this card has.
The example below features the special cancel used at the show inscribed "GUBEN | Briefmarken Sammlerverein 1911 | Briefmarkenschau | 8.-10.1.1938”.

LANDESVERBAND SCHWABEN

This postcard was issued to commemorate the First Swabian Postal Exhibition held in the City of Stuttgart from the 8th to the 16th of Jan 1938, coinciding with "The Day of the Stamp". It exists in four versions, all without a pre-printed stamp. The only difference between the cards being the colour of the text and image, or the colour of the card stock used to print them.

Here is another postcard issued to celebrate 'The Day of the Stamp', again it was a double commemoration, 'The Day of the Stamp' and 'The Exhibition of The Hindenburg, LZ129', which crashed on 6th May 1937 in Lakehurst, New Jersey. The sponsor of the card was the Greater Frankfurt Stamp Collectors and Trade Society. Two versions of the card were available, one brown with a 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp (PP122-C-69) and the other green with a 5Rpf Luftpost] stamp (PP142-C-23).

The two private postcards below were issued 9th Jan 1938 to celebrate Stamp Day in 1938 by the R.d.P (Reichsbund der Philatelisten). The image is that of the Universal Postal Union Monument in Berne, Switzerland. The pre-printed stamps on these two postcards is a 1933, Michel 513, 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp.
There are two versions of PP122-C-75/01. The first has no inscription on the reverse whereas the second is inscribed "Insta-Berlin E.V." followed by 15 lines of text.
A special cancel featuring the R.d.P or W.H.W logo and "Tag der Briefmarke" was used in 12 different cities as follows: BERLIN, BREMEN, BRESLAU, ERFUHRT, FRANKFURT (MAIN), FRIEDBERG (HESS), LEIPZIG, MÜNCHEN, REGENSBURG, STETTIN, WEIMAR, and WIESBADEN.

However, they were re-issued here to commemorate Stamp Day and the 2nd Postal Exhibition of the Bad Nauheim B.S.V. Another postcard (PP142-C-24) issued to celebrate Stamp Day. This postcard was sponsored by the "Reichsbund der Philatelisten" and features A statue of Friedrich the Great with an aircraft flying in the background. The title text reads "Der Alte und der Grosse Dessauer" - "The old and the great from Dessau". This card has a 5Rpf Luftpost pre-printed stamp but there is another version exactly the same but without a pre-printed stamp.

PP122-C-67 and PP122-B-40
(9th Jan 1938)
PP122-C-67 was published by The Schaubek Stamp Accessories Company to commemorate the 1938 Stamp Day. The card is titled "IN ALLEN WELTTEILEN" - "In all parts of the world" and shows a representation of the earth along with the locations of Schaubek’ s global sales outlets.
Apart from PP122-C-67 there was another very similar card, PP122-B-40, and both have a 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion pre-printed stamp on the reverse. The difference between the two is that PP122-C-67 has the additional text "Tag der Briefmarke 1938" printed on the map over Asia.

This postcard was an official greeting card from the Meeting of the Commission for Economic Policy of the NSDAP held in Munich from 24th to 29th Jan 1938.
There was no special cancel used during the event and the example below has an unrelated cancel dated 9.11.1937 indicating that the postcard was available quite some time before the event took place.

Initially this was a series of 4 postcards published by Photo-Hoffmann and numbered J1 to J4 to commemorate the Nazi's 5th year in power. Later an additional card from Verlag Franz Hanfstaengle was added but it does not have a number.

These three commemorative postcards were published to advertise the Neukölln stamp exhibition held at the German Wirtshouse. There are two basic designs: The brown coloured PP122-C-79-01 and the green coloured PP122-C-79-02 which are printed on cream card. There is another version of the green colour, PP122-C-79-03 which is printed on a different card stock. The example below has the special cancel that accompanied the show.

This postcard commemorates the Halle, VDA traditional costume festival, featuring Sudeten Germans' National costumes. There are several postcards available: PP122-C-46 (3Rpf), PP126-C-19 (5Rpf), PP127-C-27 (6Rpf), PP127-C-36 (6Rpf) and PP142-C-27 (5Rpf Luftpost).

(9th/10th Apr 1938)
The Liposta exhibition in Berlin was supposed to take place from 9th to 10th Apr but was postponed until 7th and 8th of May due to the Austrian vote on joining with Germany. The event was sponsored by the Postage Stamp Collectors Club in Berlin-Lichtenrade. There are four versions of this card. The first two are as shown below with either a 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp or a 5Rpf Airmail stamp. The other two are identical except for additional text stamped in red ink on the top left-hand corner (PP122-C-82-02 and PP142-C-30-02) that reads 'Wegen Volksabstimmung verlegt auf den 7. und 8. Mai 1938' - 'Postponed to May 7th and 8th, 1938 due to a referendum'.

Two postcards PP122-C-85/01 and /02. Celebrating the 40 anniversary of the Königsberg Stamp Club 1898-1938 as well as the Austrian Anschluss vote on 10th Apr. The cards bear the inscription "40 Jahre | Verein der Briefmarkenfreunde E.V" on the top and "Im Jahre der Eingliederung Osterreichs ins Deutsche Reich | Am 10. April dem Führer Dein "Ja!"" at the bottom.

Hitler's Birthday in 1938 resulted in the usual deluge of special commemorative postcards, even more so this year since the re-union with Austria 10 days earlier. The card below features an image of the house where Hitler was born in Braunau am Inn, Austria. There was another almost identical card that features the same scene but instead of the plain red background behind the "Zum Geburtstag des Fuhrers | 20.April 1938" inscription and swastika, the background is plain white, without a swastika.

GROSSDEUTSCHLAND
(20th Apr 1938)
The book "Postcards of Hitler's Germany" Vol 2 by Roger Bender dates this particular card at 10th Oct 1938. However, this example was canceled much earlier, on Hitler's 49th birthday on 20th Apr 1938. That places the publication of this card earlier than first thought. The card commemorates the union of Germany and Austria to form a Greater Germany "Grossdeutschland".

This postcard (PP142-C-31) was issued to commemorate the social reunion of the former students of the Ratsgymnasium (Lyceum I) in the new Maschsee Restaurant. The card has a pre-printed 5Rpf Luftpost stamp on the reverse.
There is another version of this card (PP142-D-2) that has only 4 lines of text, instead of the Maschsee Restaurant this one relates to the Brauereigildhaus.

These cards were published to commemorate the 1st Oldenburg postage stamp exhibition of the Association of Postage Stamp Friends in the regional association "Weser-Ems". On the reverse is the same text as PP142-C-36/01.
The cards were the same as 3rd National Club Conference in Bremen except now with the following inscription on the reverse "1. Postwertzeichen-Ausstellung | des Vereins der Briefmarkenfreunde im Landesverband | "Weser-Ems" des Reichsbundes der Philatelisten e. V | Oldenburg: Schloβ: 14-15 Mai 1938".

This attractive series of postcards is referred to as 'Postkarte der Wehrmacht' and depicts 10 scenes of German troops in action. The postcard shown below left is No.1 in the series. There are at least two variations in the reverse side of the card (see below).

This postcard was published prior to the BREMEN 'Key to the World' Exhibition held from 25th May until 19th Jun in the German city of Bremen. It features either a pre-printed 3Rpf or 6Rpf Hindenburg Medallion Stamp and there were at least 3 versions available. They are identical on the front, but the reverse is either blank, has a confirmation of the visitor’s participation or has text requesting shipment of sender's choice.

Published by the Reichskolonialbund to commemorate the National Colonial Conference held in Bremen from 26th to 29th May 1938. The image shows the former African colonies that Germany lost at the end of the First World War, they are Kamerun, Deutsche Südwest Afrika, Deutsche Ost-Afrika, and Togo.

The pre-printed stamp is a 6Rpf Hindenburg Medallion and the special cancellation can be seen on the example below inscribed "RATHEN (SÄCHS.SCHWEIZ) | Karl May-Spiele" and featuring Karl May. In addition to this card there was another one in portrait format inscribed "Karl-May-Spiele".

There were three almost identical postcards issued to commemorate this event. The first, PP122-C-91, has a 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion Stamp and 4 lines of text below the image of Hitler. The second version, PP142-C-35/01, has a 5Rpf Luftpost stamp and four lines of text beneath the image of Hitler. The third version, PP142-C-35/02, is identical to PP142-C-35/01 except for the fact that it has an additional line of text "Seidel & Co., A.-G., Briefmarkengroβhandel" below the image of Hitler.

This set of postcards was published in Bremen to mark two events: The 3rd National Club Conference and the 44th German Philatelists Day, held on 11th and 12th June. There were two postcards (each with two variants), the first features a brown 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp and the other features a 5Rpf Luftpost Airmail stamp. The variants include additional brown or green imprint 'Geburtstag der Einheitsorganisation' at the bottom of the left pane on both the 3Rpf and 5Rpf cards. There were 3 different special cancels used at the conference.

It is very likely that this card exists with other non-related stamps.
