3. REICHSBUNDESTAG / 44. DEUTSCHER PHILATELISTENTAG - BREMEN
BREMEN STAMP and CLUB CONFERENCE
(11th/12th Jun 1938)
BACKGROUND: This set of postcards was published in Bremen to mark two events: The 3rd National Club Conference and the 44th German Philatelists Day, held on 11th and 12th June. There were two postcards (each with two variants), the first features a brown 3 Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp and the other features a 5 Rpf Luftpost Airmail stamp.
Variations:
PP122-C-93/01: Three lines of text under the image.
PP122-C-93/02: Like -01, Reverse with text confirmation of participation.
PP122-C-93/03: Like -01, Reverse with alternative text.
PP122-C-93/04: Like -01 four lines of text, extra "Geburtstag der Einheitsorganisation".
PP142-C-36/01: Three lines of text under the image.
PP122-C-36/02: Like -01, four lines of text, extra "Geburtstag der Einheitsorganisation".
As well as the postcards there were also privately printed envelopes
There were 3 different special cancels used at the conference.

6 Rpf HINDENBURG MEDALLION
There was one final postcard related to the show that featured a 6Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp. The postcard is a 1933 issue P226 postcard with an additional image and text on the left-hand pane. The image looks like a stamp with the inscription "3. Reichsbundestag" in the top perforations. Below the image is the inscription "44. Deutscher Philatelistentag | Bremen Postfach 784 | Postcheckkonto Hamburg"

PP142-C-36/01
1. The following card was cancelled with the special commemorative handstamp on 11th Jun 1938, the first day of the exhibition. The card was sent to WUPPERTAL / ELBERFELD but had insufficient postage paid. The intercity rate was 6 Rpf but this example only has the 5 Rpf pre-printed stamp. An additional 1 Rpf stamp should have been applied. The large "2" and the red "Nachgebühr" stamp indicated that the recipient had to pay 2 Rpf as postage due.
