BACKGROUND: These two postcards were initially used to commemorate the 1937 International Stamp show in Bad Nauheim. However, they were re-issued here to commemorate 'The Day of The Stamp' and the 2nd Postal Exhibition of the Bad Nauheim B.S.V. The designs are the same as in 1937 but the cards now feature an additional image and text around the value stamp.

SONDERSTEMPEL: There was a special cancellation used at the show inscribed "FRIEDBERG (HESSEN) | Reichsbund der Philatelisten | Taq der Briefmarke".
