BACKGROUND: This postcard was sponsored by the Gaugruppe Westfalen-Süd to commemorate the 1st Meeting of the Collectors Community held in Dortmund on 3rd Apr 1938. The image on the left depicts a postal rider blowing his horn to announce the arrival of the mail, with the old town hall in the background. Just to the left of the horse's hind legs is the D.S.G symbol of the 'Deutschen Sammler-Gemeinschaft'.

This card does not have a pre-printed stamp, the example below from my collection has a self-adhesive 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp and was cancelled in Dortmund sometime after the exhibition.
