BACKGROUND: There were at least two versions of this postcard that was published to commemorate the 5th German Pharmacists Day and the 1st Greater Germany Pharmacists Day, held in Frankfurt (Main) from 28th to 30th May 1938. The card does not have a pre-printed stamp and both versions are identical on the reverse side, featuring a view of a bridge across the river in the city of Frankfurt. The differences are in the text on the front of the card.

SONDERSTEMPEL: There was a special cancel inscribed "FRANKFURT (MAIN) | 1. Groβdeutscher | Apothekertag 1938" with a large letter "A" inside a shield.
