LIPOSTA
(9th/10th Apr 1938)
BACKGROUND: The Liposta exhibition in Berlin was supposed to take place from 9th to 10th Apr but was postponed until 7th and 8th of May due to the Austrian vote on joining with Germany. The event was sponsored by the Postage Stamp Collectors Club in Berlin-Lichtenrade.
There are four versions of this card.

The text stamped in red ink on the /02 cards reads:
'Wegen Volksabstimmung verlegt auf den 7. und 8. Mai 1938'
'Postponed to May 7th and 8th, 1938 due to a referendum'.
SONDERSTEMPEL: There was a special cancellation associated with the exhibition inscribed "BERLIN-LICHTENRADE 1 | "LIPOSTA" | Berlin-Lichtenrade | 1838 Poststation 1938 | 1. Lichtenrade Postwertzeichen-Ausstellung".
