As well as the official P241 postcard issued to commemorate Stamp Day on 12th Jan 1941 there were two another versions: one is the same as P241 but with the addition of text inscribed 'Sondermarke zum Tag der Briefmarke 1941' just above the place where the stamp is affixed and without the 'ABGABEPRIES 20 Rpf.' text running vertically along the central divider and also without a pre-printed stamp. The other version has printing on the reverse covering most of the card and dated 'Februar Marz 1941' in the lower left corner.

There were quite a number of different postcards released to coincide with Armed Forces Day in 1941. One series (Symbole der Ehre) depicts combat awards that were given to soldiers for achieving certain goals during combat. Below is one example of such an award, the Tank Assault Badge.

BACKGROUND: To commemorate the 4th Day of Greater German postage Stamps in Leipzig from 7th to 9th Sep 1941, Verlag Heinrich Hoffmann released a series of 12 postcards from paintings by Prof. A Janesh. The 12 cards, numbered J1 to J12, each feature a 6Rpf purple pre-printed stamp with a post horn and a large No. '6'.

This set consists of four cards and was a re-issue of the 1936 Olympic Postal Exhibition set but now to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Leipzig South Collector's Group. They have the same three-line text of the first set "Olympia - Postwertzeichen - Ausstellung | Dresden | 1.- 16. August 1936" but this has been crossed out with two diagonal lines that look like two 'W's on top of two 'M's, and additional text inscribed "30 Jahre Gruppe Süd | Werbeschau am. 5th Okt 1941" has been added. There was either a 3Rpf, 5Rpf or 6Rpf pre-printed stamp or there was no pre-printed stamp.

This set of 12 postcards was published to commemorate the "SOVIET PARADISE EXHIBITION" held in Vienna from 13th Dec 1941 until 1st Feb 1942. This series of cards was re-issued at least three times in various formats throughout 1942 as the exhibition toured to Berlin, Hamburg and Essen.Click here for more details.

DIE DEUTSCHEN WEHRMACHT
THE GERMAN ARMED FORCES
(1941 Probably)
This series of impressive artist's impressions features aspects of the Wehrmacht including the Heer, the Luftwaffe and the Kriegsmarine. I don't know the precise date of issue, but one of the cards in my collection has been canceled on 'The Day of German Police' in Feb 1941 and again almost two weeks later at the end of Feb 1941. I do not know how many cards are in this series but I have seen at least 10 examples.
