SLATINIAN STAMP EXHIBITION
(22nd - 29th Jun 1941)

BACKGROUND: This postcard was issued to commemorate the Slatinian Stamp Exhibition held from 22nd until 29th Jun 1941. Slatiňany is a small town in modern day Czech Republic with a population of around 4,000 people. In 1938 the town was incorporated into the region occupied by the Germans and known as Bohemia and Moravia (Bohmen und Mahren), hence the two stamps on the example below.

The image on the card is of the Parish Church of St. Martin in Slatiňany
