CARD 8 of 8
The final card in the series shows Hitler's personal plane on approach to Nürnberg for the rally (Nürnberg Castle can be seen just below the aircraft). Hitler was perhaps the first politician to understand how effective travelling by air could be in order to meet and talk to as many electors, in as short a time, as possible.
Hitler's personal aircraft, named Immelmann II after WW1 fighter ace Max Immelmann, registration No. D-2600, was a Junkers Ju52/3m which he aquired in 1933 and was flown by his personal pilot Hans Bauer.
