CARD 3 of 8
The third card in the series shows SS members marching with their standards in the Luitpold Arena. In this case one of the two massive Nazi eagle statues can be clearly seen in the background. The eagles were designed and sculpted by Kurt Schmid-Ehmen and were positioned at either end of the Tribune. Standing at 7 metres tall, with a wingspan of 7.5 metres and weighing around 7,500 Kg each, these sculptures were certainly very impressive.
