POSTCARD TO INDIA
(13th Apr 1929)

This curious postcard was sent from a company named Georg Engel of Idar to KISHNAGARH in India on 27th Mar 1929. The card was initially sent to an address in JAIPUR but was redirected on arrival to Kishnagarh. Total delivery time of only 18 days. The sender wished to advise the recipient that he had no need for his Indian garnets as they were not a popular item in his market.

This card has a special slogan handstamp used in IDAR from 1925 until 1932.

ALBERT LOEBER - MARGARINE
(25th Jul 1929)

This advertising card tells us that "Dreimadel - Konserven sind Qualitäts-Konserven" - 'Dreimadel preserves are quality preserves'. The reverse of the card has a very simple message to the recipient as follows:

"My traveling Salesman
Mr Gustav Wernicke
Will pay you a visit in the next few days. I ask that you kindly reserve your order and assure you in advance of the most careful service.
Sincerely
Albert Loeber"

ADVERTISING POSTCARD
LIME FERTILISATION
(10th Dec 1929)

The text on the front of the card reads "DER LANDWIRT ERZIELT DURCH DIE KALKDÜNGUNG HOHE EINNAHMEN" or 'THE FARMER ACHIEVES HIGH INCOME THROUGH LIME FERTILIZATION' and features a farmer taking his produce to market using a horse and cart. This card is similar to another card in my collection canceled in 1930 and referring to the many benefits of potash.
