Issued Jul 1909 to commemorate the 500th Anniversary of Leipzig University. This attractive series of postcards consists of an unknown number of cards all depicting scenes relevant to the Leipzig University. Although unnumbered, the reverse side of these cards are identical in design and have the title "OFFIZIELLE POSTKARTE zur 500 JÄHRIGEN JUBILÄUMSFEIER DER UNIVERSITÄT LEIPZIG JULI 1909" - ' OFFICIAL POSTCARD for the 500 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF THE UNIVERSITY OF LEIPZIG JULY 1909'. They were published by DRUCK u. VERLAG ESCHEBACH & SCHAFER of Leipzig.
