500th ANNIV of LEIPZIG UNIVERSITY
PRINTED-TO-PRIVATE-ORDER

BACKGROUND: This set of three printed-to-private-order postcards was based on offical postal stationary and issued to commemorate the 500th Anniversity of Leipzig University. The three cards are as follows:

PP23-C-10: 3Pf Germania.
PP27-C-108: 5Pf Germania.
PP32-C-7: 10Pf Germania.

3Pf GERMANIA

This card is based on the offical P77 card and there are four versions.

BELOW: The first card PP23-C-10/01 does not have any inscription below the image.

PP23-C-10/02

The second card PP23-C-10/02 has the inscription "VERLAG FRANZ MARTIN,LEIPZIG QUESTR.I" (In upper case letters), below the image.

PP23-C-10/03

The third card PP23-C-10/03 has the inscription "Verlag Franz Martin, Leipzig Questr.I" (In lower case letters), below the image..

PP23-C-10/04

The fourth card has the figure in red instead of brown.

This card is based on the offical P73 and P78 cards and there are four versions.

PP27-C-108/01

The first card PP27-C-108/01 is based on the official P73 card (with "An") and has the inscription "VERLAG FRANZ MARTIN,LEIPZIG QUESTR.I" (In upper case letters), below the image.

PP27-C-108/02

The second card PP27-C-108/02 is based on the P78 official card (without "An") and there is no text below the image.

PP27-C-108/03

The third card PP27-C-108/03 is based on the P78 official card (without "An") and has the inscription "VERLAG FRANZ MARTIN, LEIPZIG QUESTR.I" (In upper case letters), below the image.

PP27-C-108/04

The first card PP27-C-108/04 is based on the P78 official card (without "An") and has the inscription below the image in regular lower case script.

There are two versions of this postcard and it based on the official P79 postcard.

PP32-C-7/01

The first card PP32-C-7/01 has the inscription "VERLAG FRANZ MARTIN, LEIPZIG QUESTR.I" (In upper case letters), below the image

The second card PP32-C-7/02 has the inscription below the image in lower case letters.
