BACKGROUND: This postcard was published in Feb 1937 and 52,500 cards were printed in the first issue. The image features a view of the town of Hegau.

The card is inscribed as follows:

"Hegau wie bist Du so schön" | mit Deinem geschichtsreichen Hohentwiel, | der nie bezwungenen Bergfeste im Hegau. | Singen (Hohentwiel), die Scheffelstadt, ist der Eingang | zum herrlichen Hegau."

"Hegau, how beautiful are you" with your history-rich Hohentwiel, the never-conquered mountain fortress in Hegau. Singen (Hohentwiel), the Scheffelstadt, is the entrance to the wonderful Hegau."
