THIRD SERIES
P232 - PRIVATE OVERPRINTS
The third Hindenburg series of Get to Know Germany also appeared in early 1934 and are refered to as P232 in the Michel series. This series is distinquished by a much shorter tail to the 'e' in 'Postkarte', the length varying between 1 to 1.4 mm. This series was more substantial than that of series two, with 144 different cards being produced. There were four variations: The 'Lernt Deutschland Kennen!' heading (130 cards), the 'Besucht des Schone Schlesien' heading (12 cards), the 'Besucht die Bayerische Ostmark' heading (1 card) and finally the 'Lernt Ostpreussen Kennen' heading (1 card).

1: Sender's address "Hellmuth Stenzel | Berlin" appears on card No's 08, 16, 70, 102, 136 and 143.Hellmuth Stenzel was the owner of a postal stationary speciality store in Berlin (Berlin SO 16, Brückenstaβe 10B) and was the author of a philatelic catalogue entitled "Ganzsachen-Nettopreisliste 1941" - 'Postal stationery net price list 1941' and sub-titled "Altdeutschland Deutsches Reich Besetzte und Abstimmungsgebiete Deutsche Kolonien" - 'Old Germany German Empire Occupied and voting areas German colonies'.

KURT HORN - DRESDEN
Kurt Horn appears on many of the P232 series with additional printing in the destination pane of "Kurt Horn | Dresden-Bad Weiβer Hirsch | Danziger Straβe 20 | Ruf 87651". There are two types of Kurt Horn private printing: Type 1 has a lighter font on the fornt and the word "Aufrag" on the reverse also in light font.
