15th ANNIV of the MUNICH PUTSCH
(9th Nov 1938)
BACKGROUND: There were at least five postcards published to commemorate the 15th Anniversary of the failed Munich Putsch of 9th Nov 1923.
SONDERSTEMPEL:

MÜNCHENER GROSSVERANSTALTUNGEN e.V
Published by Münchener Grossveranstaltungen e.V, to commemorate the 15th Anniversary of the failed 1923 Munich Putsch. The inscription reads 'Und Ihr habt doch gesiegt' - 'However, you have won' referring to the fact that despite the failure of the putsch the Nazi Party did eventually prevail and sieze power in Germany. The reverse has a green 6Rpf Hindenburg Medallion Stamp and there was also a special cancel used in Munich.

EMIL KÖHN KUNSTVERLAG
This card is a colour artist's impression of the coffins of some of those who died during the putsch. The bottom right-hand edge of the card is inscribed "Ehrenstempel "Ewige Wacht" em Königlichen Platz"".


AUGUST LENGAUER KUNSTVERLAG
This card is a colour artist's impression of the coffins of some of those who died during the putsch and is very similar to the card above. The inscription on the bottom edge of the card now reads "München - Hauptstadt der Bewegung" and "Ehrentempel für die Gefallenen des 9. November 1923".
