200th ANNIVERSARY of SAXON POSTAGE

This series of 6 postcards was published as a set inside an envelope with the inscription "200 Jahre Sächsische Landespost in Bildern", to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of postal services in Saxony.
There are four, possibly five sets of almost identical cards:
The first set of cards all have a 3 Rpf Hindenburg Medallion pre-printed stamp
The second set was issued in Leipzig and has several different Hindenburg pre-printed stamps
The third set which is the same as the first but with no pre-printed stamp
The fourth set which is the same as the second but with no pre-printed stamp
The fifth set is the same as the third but with an additional stamp



FIRST SET
200th ANNIVERSARY of SAXON POSTAGE

The first set of cards consists of six postcards all with a pre-printed 3 Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp. The cards were sold in a wrapper inscribed "200 Jahre Sächsische Landespost in Bildern" - '200 years of the Saxon Post in pictures'.

SECOND SERIES
125th ANNIVERSARY BATTLE of NATIONS
PP122-C-100, PP126-C-24, PP127-C-45 and PP142-C-41

There is a second set of identical cards from Leipzig, the only difference being an additional inscription on the reverse of the card on the bottom left-hand side, and a different value pre-printed stamp. In this second set, card No.1 does not have the additional text, No.2 has a 3 Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp, No.3 has a 5 Rpf Luftpost stamp, No.4 has a 5 Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp, No.5 has a 6 Rpf Hindenburg Medallion and No.6 has a 5 Rpf HIndenburg Medallion stamp.

This set is the same as the type 1 in that there is text only at the top of the left-hand pane and without a pre-printed stamp.

AND ADDITIONAL STAMP
This set is the same as the type 3 in that there is text at the top of the left-hand pane, only without a pre-printed stamp, but now with a four-line red handstamp inscribed "Briefmarken - Werbeschau | K.d.F.- Sammlergemeinschaft aue, | vom 7.4.-14.4.1940. | Museumssaal Aue, Schneeberner Str".
