BACKGROUND: This postcard was published on 27th Nov 1938 to commemorate the First National NSFK (National Socialist Flieger Korps) Model Aircraft Competition held in Frankfurt (Main) on 27th Nov 1938. The card was designed by Lorenz and Published by Der Korpsführer des NS-Fliegerkorps and had a pre-printed 6Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp on the reverse.

SONDERSTEMPEL: There was also a special cancel associated with the competition inscribed 'FRANKFURT (MAIN) | 1. Reichswettbewerb | für Saalflugmodelle des | N.S.Fliegerkorps' which has an image of a man with outstretched arms, wings and a swastika.
