BACKGROUND: This postcard was likely issued prior to 1938 but has been placed here as 1938 is the earliest cancel I have seen.
SPECIAL CANCEL: There is no special cancel directly realted to this postcard.

MULTIPLE CANCELS
(1938)
This postcard has been favour cancelled with several different special cancels as follows:
1. "HAMBURG 36 | Reichstagung Kraft durch freude | Hamburg 1938". This special cancel was used in tadem with P246 and P247 Official postcards for the K.d.F conference in Hamburg.
2. "Tag des Gross Deutches Reich | Wien 9. April 1938" a special cancel used to commemorate the vote in Austria to become a part of greater Germany.
3. "KÖNIGSBERG | 10 Jahre Gau Ost preussen" a special cancel to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the creation of the East Prussian Gau.




RETURN OF AUSTRIA
A special version of this card was published by Deutscher Schulverein-Südmark of Vienna to commemorate the return of Austria to the Reich on 10th Apr 1938. The card is the same as the basic card above, only now with an inscription below Hitler's portrait which reads "Gedenke des 10 April 1938! | Ein Volk - Ein Reich | Ein Führer"



GAU DAY OF THE NSDAP STEIERMARK
(7th/11th Jun 1939)
A second special version of this card was published by Jos C. Huber of Munich to commemorate Gau Day of the NSDAP Steiermark on 7th/11th Jun 1939. The card is the same as the basic cards above, only now with an inscription below Hitler's portrait which reads "1. Gauparteitag | Des Gaues Steiermark | der N.S.D.A.P. | Graz 7. - 11. VI.39"




DUPLICATE POSTCARDS FROM MY COLLECTION

This example was favour cancelled with the special cancel used in Vienna on 9th Apr 1938, the day before the vote on Austria's future.



POSTCARDS #2
This example was cancelled in Munich on 'The Day of the Stamp' on 12th Jan 1941.



POSTCARDS #3
This example was favour cancelled in Munich on 15th Mar 1941.



POSTCARDS #4
This fourth example has a special cancel used in the Sudentenland on 21st Sep 1938, just a week before the German invasion. This card aslo has an additional inscription on the front lower left-hand edge which reads "Der Sonderstempel Spezialist | Werner Schüler | Berlin W 15, Uhlandstr. 161".
