MICHEL P204
1000 YEAR CELEBRATION
OF THE RHINELAND
BACKGROUND: P204 was issued in 1925 to commemorate the 1,000 year anniversary of the Rhineland region. The card measures 140 x 90 mm and exists in two versions:
P204-I: with four straight edges
P204-II: with at least one serrated edge.
As well as the official card there were three official postage stamps Michel 372 to 374 and at least 50 official cards with additional private printing.

DOMESTICALLY USED
1. This postally used P204 was sent by a company "C. J. OEHNINGER Verlag" in MÜNSTER to a Franz Fischer near Salzburg on 5th Sep 1925.


2. The following domestically used P204-I was cancelled on 2nd Sep 1925 and sent from GROSSSENMARPE to OSNABRÜCK



3. The next P204-I postcard was sent from ZUFFENHAUSEN to LORCH on 28th Nov 1925




FOREIGN USED
ITALY
1. This first foreign usage was from ZITTAU to MILAN, ITALY on 11th Nov 1925. To cover the 15Rpf postage the sender has added a 10Rpf Airmail stamp.


POLAND
1. The following card was sent from STOLP to OSTROWO in POLAND on 2nd Sep 1925


SWITZERLAND
1. Cancelled on 17th Sep 1925 this card was sent from NÜRNBERG to ZURICH, SWITZERLAND. In addition to the 5Rpf indicia stamp the sender has added two more of the smae design self adhesive stamps to cover the 15Rpf postage.
