BACKGROUND: This is a re-issue of Michel 787, the 10Rpf Hitler Head stamp that was first introduced in 1941. This stamp was designed by Eric Meerwald and was printed at the State Printing Works in Berlin and was printed letterpress.

VARIATIONS

Michel 826 was a 10Rpf letterpress printed stamp issued in 1942, however the 10Rpf was originally issued in 1941 as Michel 787 which was printed recess. The differences can be seen in the two images below.
