MICHEL 787
HITLER'S HEAD

BACKGROUND: This series of Hitler's head stamps was first introduced in Aug 1941 and gradually rolled out over the next few years as stocks of Hindenburg Medallion stamps were used up. Michel Numbers 787 to 792 (10Rpf through 24Rpf) were designed by Eric Meerwald, printed at the State Printing Works in Berlin and were printed recess.
