BACKGROUND: This series of six von Axster-Heüdtlass designed stamps was issued on 19th May 1941 to commemorate the work of the German Postal Servcie. There were no special postmarks but there was an official postcard available. There was a re-issue of the 1939 stamps but now with different colours and different surcharges.
