BACKGROUND: Two identical stamps designed by Semar were issued on 30th Jun 1936 to commemorate the World Congress for Spare time and Recreation held in HAMBURG. The stamps feature an image of a Woman with dove and a man with hammer. The design is supposed to symbolise the pursuit of beauty through cultural recreation.
