BACKGROUND: The 1st Apprentice's Vocational Contest was held on the 1st May 1935 and annually thereafter. Designed by Karl Diebitsch this is the second of two stamps issued to commemorate the event. The design shows a hand holding aloft a crown of laurel leaves and behind is the flag of the Hitler Youth Organisation.
