LEIPZIG TRADERS 25th ANNIVERSARY
(11th Jan 1936)

BACKGROUND: There were a total of five postcards published to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Leipzig Association of Postage Stamp Traders. The first four cards have a 3Rpf pre-printed Hindenburg Medallion stamp (PP122-C-22) and are found in blue, brown, green or black. In addition to these four cards there was another card which has a 5Rpf Luftpost Airmail stamp (PP142-C-2). The reverse side of all the cards is blank.

SPECIAL CANCEL: A special cancel related to these cards was available and inscribed "LEIPZIG C1 | 1911 - 1936 | 25 Jahre | Verein Leipziger Briefmarken Börse" which can be seen on several of the cards below.

3Rpf HINDENBURG MEDALLION

The first postcard, PP122-C-22/01 has a pre-printed 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp and both the text and the image are blue.

3Rpf HINDENBURG MEDALLION

The second postcard, PP122-C-22/02 has a pre-printed 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp and both the text and the image are brown. This particular example was favour cancelled with the special cancellation available at the event.

The third postcard, PP122-C-22/03 has a pre-printed 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp and both the text and the image are green.

The fourth postcard, PP122-C-22/04 has a pre-printed 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp and both the text and the image are black. This particular example was favour cancelled with the special cancellation available at the event.

5Rpf LUFTPOST

The final postcard, PP142-C-2 has a pre-printed 5Rpf Luftpost stamp and both the text and the image are green. This example from my collection has a special Olympic Games cancel used in Kiel where the sailing events took place.
