3rd BERLIN-NEUKÖLLN EXHIBITION

BACKGROUND: Published to commemorate the third Berlin-Neukölln Postal Exhibition on the occasion of the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games. The event was sponsored by the Neukölln Philatelic Society. The card is very plain with 4 lines of green text in the bottom left-hand pane which reads "III. Postwertzeichen Ausstellung | anlaβlich d. Olymp festspiele 1936 | des Neuköllner Philatelisten-Klubs | Berlin-Neukölln".

SPECIAL POSTMARK: There was a special postmark used at the exhibition inscribed "BERLIN SW 29 | POSTWERTZEICH AUSSTELLUNG | NEUKÖLLN PHILATEL. KLUB" which was only available during the exhibition days and only with the 'BERLIN SW29' origin. The image on the cancel is that of the Jahn monument in Hasenheide Park, a tribute to the life of Fredrich Ludwig Jahn, Germany's Gymnastics father.
