SAXONY LABOUR FRONT

BACKGROUND: This postcard was likely issued sometime during 1936 but the exact date is unknown. It was issued to honour members of the German Labour Front (Deutschen Arbeit’s Front) in Saxony.

The text on the front of the card in the upper left-hand pane translates as:

"Published by the German Worker's front, Gau Saxony, on the occasion of the Gau Worker's Day 1936 in Chemnitz. The creative Saxony in the German labor front is not a slogan, but rather a factual fact. Of the 5.2 million inhabitants of the Gaues Sachsen, more than 1,900,000 are individual members of the German Labor Front"
