ASCHAFFENBURG DAY of the STAMP
(7th Jan 1936)
Three postcards were issued to commemorate the Day of the Stamp in Aschaffenburg on 7th Jan 1936. PP122-C-21 has a pre-printed 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp and PP127-C-17 has a 6Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp, there are two versions of each card. In addition, there was a card without a pre-printed stamp.

3Rpf HINDENBURG MEDALLION
The first of the postcards with a pre-printed 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp is inscribed "Tag der Briefmarke | 7. Januar 1936 . Aschaffenburg" on the top left-hand side of the front of the card (the side with the pre-printed stamp). The reverse side is blank.
The second 3Rpf postcard is identical to the first card, only now the reverse side has an artist's drawing of a postal coach approaching the city of Aschaffenburg.

6Rpf HINDENBURG MEDALLION
The first of the postcards with a pre-printed 6Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp is inscribed "Tag der Briefmarke | 7. Januar 1936 . Aschaffenburg" on the top left-hand side of the front of the card (the side with the pre-printed stamp). The reverse side is blank.
