P225 - POSTCARD
5Rpf HINDENBURG MEDALLION STAMP
(BRIGHT GREEN)
The Hindenburg postcards were re-issued later in 1933 with some changes from the earlier design. The text on the bottom right of the card has been changed from two lines of text to a single line of text, and the five lines of sender's text has now been reduced to three lines. In addition, the three vertical dividing lines have been changed to a single line.
There are two versions of this card: P225(I) has straight edges and P225(II) has a serrated edge.
As well as the official postcard there are also a number of private versions of this card.

25. STIFTUNGSFEST - ARNSTADT
25TH FOUNDATION FESTIVAL - ARNSTADT
This version of P225 is the same as the basic card only now with extra text and a small image below the sender's details. The text reads "Zur Erinnerung an das | 25. Stiftungsfest | des | Vereins fur Briefmarkenkunde | Arnstadt | und die Damit verbundene | Briefmarken Werbeschau | 18.Nov 1937". The image is a panoramic view of the town of Arnstadt.
KURT HORN - BAD WEIβER HIRSCH
This version of P225 has a very large black image stamped over the senders section. The image is of a water scene with men bringing barrels ashore with two sailing boats on the water. Above the image is the inscription Kurt Horn Bad Weiβer Hirsch".ADLER & WALDBACH
This version of P225 has the following inscription in the destinatio section "Fa. | Adler & Waldbach | Kaffee - Groβrösterei | Berlin N24 | Gr. Hamburger Str. 17". There are two versions of this card: Type 01 with "Berlin n24" and Type 02 with "Berlin n4" in the destination address.HERMANN BRACK & Co. - BERLIN
This version of P225 has a destination address of "Hermann Brack & Co. | Berlin-Wilmersdorf | Kaiserallee 189" and an additional 7 lines of text below the sender's details. This version of P225 has a destination address in large letters of "Firma | RICHARD | SPRUNG | Seifen-Groβhandlung | BERLIN N54 | Lothringer Straβe 17. In the left-hand pane along the bottom edge is the inscription "Fernruf: 41 01 15". The reverse of the card has two lists of items followed by 9 dotted horizontal lines intended for ordering items from the company.
ALFRED WEYMANN - BERLIN
AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE BUREAU
This version of P225 has a destination address of "An das | Berliner | Automobile - Versicherungs Büro | ALFRED WEYMANN | BERLIN W.35 | Potsdamer Str 24-25". The reverse of the card has three lines of text, the first of which is underlined and reads "An den Kundendienst der Firma Alfred Weymann".
JULIUS BLOCH - FRANKFURT
UNKNOWN
This version of P225 has a destination address of "Herrn | JULIUS BLOCH | FRANFURT A.M. | Brentanostrasse 12". It is not evident from this card who Julius bloch was but there was a Julius Bloch, born in 1877 in Bühl, Baden who became a leading member of the Jewish Community in Frankfurt am Main. He emigrated to Great Britain in 1938 and died in 1956. According to a tribute to him shortly prior to his emigration, Bloch was instrumental in centralising the welfare activities of the Frankfurt Jewish community, creating a single organisation to replace the numerous smaller organisations.
FRANKFURT COLLECTORS' and TRADERS' STAMP EXHIBITION

A series of three postcards was issued to commemorate the Frankfurt Postage Stamp Exhibition sponsored by the Frankfurt Collectors' and Traders' Club in 1935. P225 was used for the front of one of the commemorative postcards that was published, PP126-C-10 for that event.
SANITÄTSKOLONNE - GERA
MEDICAL COLONY - GERA
Another version of P225 has a destination address of "An die | Sanitätskolonne | Kassen- und Verwaltungsstelle | Gera |Kaiser-Wilhelm-Strasse 137, I (Schneider)" - 'To the | Medical column | Cash desk and administrative office | Gera'. The reverse of the card has a table of sorts.
KAUFHAUS CARL PETERS - KÖLN
CARL PETERS DEPARTMENT STORE - COLOGNE
This private version of P225 does not have any change to the front of the card, instead the reverse side has an image of a street scene taking up about a third of the card on the left-hand side. The image is presumably the Carl Peters Department store in Cologne. The building was named after Carl Peters (1856 – 1918), who was a German colonial ruler, explorer, politician and author as well as a major promoter of the establishment of the German colony of East Africa.
1st POSTAGE STAMP SHOW GAU WARTHERLAND
(13th to 16th Jun 1942)
There were four postcards published to commemorate the 1st postage stamp show in Gau Wartheland in 1942. Two of these cards were based on a P225 postcard, and they are PP126-C-29/01 and PP126-C-29/02.
TAG DER BRIEFMARKE - MÜNCHEN
THE DAY OF THE STAMP - MUNICH
(9th/10th Jan 1937))
P225 was used once again, this time in 1937 in a modified form to commemorate the Day of the Stamp in Munich on 10th Jan 1937. The card PP126-C-17 is the same as a regular P225 postcard only now with an additional large square below the sender's details. The Square contains an image of the special cancellation used on The Day of The Stamp in Munich on 10th Jan 1937 as well as details of the sponsor, the R.d.P.
W & E WALDBAUER
STUTTGART
This version of P225 has a destination address of "Herrn | W. & E. Waldbauer | VERTRETER DER BIOMALZ-FARBIK | GEBR. PATERMANN, TELTOW | STUTTGART-O | METZSTRASSE 69". In the left-hand pane are two lines of diagonal dark orange stutterlin text. On the reverse of the card are approx 20 lines of text and dotted lines thst take up almost the whole fo the reverse side. There are at least seven variations of this card. All the cards have a green square frame below the sender's section. In side the frame is the text "Wuppertal | die gute Einkaufstadt" and the coat of arms of Wuppertal which consists of a symbolic lion standing on it's hind legs. On the first card this emblem is green, on all the other variants it is an orange-red colour. The differences in the cards is the text in a small rectangle below the frame as follows:/01: Walter Götze (not in a rectangular frame)
