BACKGROUND: Issued 1st Oct 1932 and published to raise funds for the German Emergency Fund. The image on the left is that of Paul von Hindenburg, the German President. The value stamp is a semi-postal, 6 Rpf + 4 Rpf pre-printed stamp depicting the Tannenberg Memorial. There is a special cancel related to this postcard, inscribed "HOHENSTEIN (OSTPR) | Nationaldenkmal" that was used every year from 1927 to 1936.
VALIDITY: 1st Oct 1932 until 30th Jun 1933
As well as the official card there were several official cards with additional private printing.
