1,100 ANNIVERSARY MEISSEN

BACKGROUND: Meissen was another German town celebrating its 1,100th anniversary in 1929. The town is located in Saxony, approximately 25Km northwest of Dresden in the eastern part of Germany. This commemorative card features a herald announcing the anniversary, as well as an image of Albrechtsburg Castle and cathedral. The Coat of Arms of Meissen can be seen in the lower right-hand corner.
