BACKGROUND: This postcard was issued to commemorate Frontline Soldier's Day in MUNICH in 1929.

The example below is most likely a re-print of the original card, but serves as an example of what the original card looks like.
The soldier featured on the card is carrying a sword and a shield. The shield has a coat of arms which is not a existing coat of arms, but is in fact a combination of all of the various Bavarian region's coats of arms. Behind the soldier are the familiar twin towers of the Fraunkirche in Munich.
The card retailed for 15Rpf and was published by Brendamour, Simhart & Co. of Munich.
