BACKGROUND: This postcard was published by National Verlag Otto Göddertz of Berlin, and appears in several versions and for several different occassions.

FIRST VERSION
Published for the German National People's Party (Deutschnationale Volkspartei, DNVP) and bears the inscription "Erhebe dich, mein Vaterland" - 'Rise up my Country' and was likely produced to encourage the population to vote for them in the upcoming election. If that's the case then it was not a successful campaign, as the party's share of the vote fell from 21% in 1924 to 14% after the 20th May 1928 election campaign.SECOND VERSION
This card has the same image as the first card only now the front side has revised texts and layout.THIRD VERSION
The third version has revised text on the front and on the reverse sides of the card, but the image is the same.REFERENCES:
