NORDHAUSEN
BACKGROUND: This postcard was published to commemorate the 1,000th Anniversary of the city of Nordhausen in the Northern Thuringia and Southern Harz region, about 60Km north of Erfurt. The design of the card features the market square and wooden buildings and what appears to be a statue of Roland [more research is required to confirm the identity of the figure].
There are three versions of this card with a pre-printed Schiller 5Rpf stamp and another without any pre-printed stamp.

This version has an additional 4 lines of text starting with "Igeno" and ending "Nordhausen 1927".
