BACKGROUND: Features a 8 Rpf Ludwig van Ludwig van Beethoven pre-printed stamp. This card was issued on 1st Aug 1927 and was valid through to 30th Jun 1933.
There were two variations:
P176-I: with four straight edges
P176-II: with at least one serrated edge.
In addition to the regular offical cards shown below there were a number of these cards with additional private printing.

DOMESTIC LONG DISTANCE WITHOUT SPECIAL MARKINGS
1. The following postally used P176-I was cancelled in LEIPZIG with a Type 'B' cancellation on 23rd Sep 1928


2. The P176-I card below was cancelled in DEENSEN in the south-east of the HOLZMINDEN district in Lower SAXONY on 11th Aug 1928 and was a local delivery.



3. Another domestically used P176-I card sent from LAUBEN to HIRSCHBERG on 13th Feb 1928



4. Domestic long-distance usage from WINTERLiNGEN, WÜRTTEMBERG on 10th Jan 1929.



5. The next example was sent from ULM-SÖFLINGEN on 5th Sep 1928 and was sent to ALTSHAUSEN, WÜRTTEMBERG.



5. The card below was a domestic delivery from AUMA to NEUSTADT on 26th Sep 1928
