INTRODUCTION:
The study of the various postmarks and cancellations used in 1921 is a difficult one due to the limited information available. Fortunately we have the BOCHMANN catalogue to assist in identifying most of them. Whilst the catalogue covers the vast majority of special cancellations, and is a required source for this area of study, the information provided is limited and does not put the various postmarks and cancellations into context. The Bochmann catalogue forms the basis of this page but I have provided additional information where possible. My apologies now for any errors and the inevitable ommisions.

25TH INTERNATIONAL DEALER DAY OF THE I.P.H.V
(12th/14th Sep 1921)

BOCHMANN Heft 2, Page 92, Nr S 59

This special handstamp was used only in BERLIN to commemorate the 25th meeting of the International stamp dealer's Association (I.P.H.V) held from 12th to 14th Sep 1921. The inscription reads "BERLIN | 25. INT. BRIEFMARKEN-HÄNDLER TAG | 13.-14.9.21 | J.P.H.V". A similar handstamp was used in 1922 for the 26th Anniversary commemoration.
