BACKGROUND: Issued on the 26th of Jan 1943, this stamp celebrates 10 years of Nazi rule (Hitler became Chancellor of Germany on 30th Jan 1933). The stamp depicts a torchlight parade overlooked by the Nazi eagle resplendent atop the Brandenburg gate. Designed by Klein it was produced at the State Printing Office in Vienna.
