BACKGROUND: Issued: 29th Sep 1941, designed by E. Meerwald and printed Photogravure by the State Printing Works in Vienna, this was the third of four stamps to commemorate the integration of Styria, Carinthia and Carniola into Greater Germany. This first stamp features Pettau.
There were 4 special postmarks, one each from the towns of Marburg, Meistern, Pettau and Veldes.
