BACKGROUND: Issued on 16th Sep 1941 and recess printed at the State Printing Works, Vienna, this is the first of two commemorative stamps designed by Prof. E. Puchinger (12Rpf + 8Rpf) and Prof. F. Zerritsch (15Rpf + 10Rpf). This stamp depicts a view out of the window of the Belvedere Palace.
There were two special postmarks and a slogan postmark.
