MICHEL 781
HITLER'S HEAD
1Rpf
BACKGROUND: This series of Hitler's head stamps was first introduced in Aug 1941 and gradually rolled out over the next few years as stocks of Hindenburg Medallion stamps were used up. Unlike the Hindenburg Medallions, which were released in four variants (if you include the six stamps re-issued to mark the death of Hindenburg), there is only a single issue of these stamps featuring Adolf Hitler.
