BACKGROUND: This series of postcards was released to solve printing issues with the earlier cards that suffered from poor quality, smearing of the ink due to the rough card used in their production. These cards were intended for private use, only for inter-company mail, and it was expressly forbidden to sell them to dealers or collectors during the war.
