I don't know when this series of postcards was published, or how many cards were in the complete series, but I have placed them here as the earliest cancellation date I have seen is 1911. It is quite likely that these cards were issued in multiple batches over several years.

The cards seem to have been printed by a number of different publishers and are all unnumbered, so I have categorised them below by city as follows:

DUISBURG

F. EPFRIEDT, DÜSSELDORF

No. 1 - DUISBURG - RATHAUS MIT MERKATORBRUNNEN

The DUISBURG Town Hall is located on the Burgplatz in the city centre. Initially surrounded by residential buildings the Burgplatz was almost completely destroyed during the second world war. This postcard depicts the City Hall with the Merkator Fountain in the foreground. This particular example was cancelled in DUISBURG on 21st Feb 1920 and was destined to DÜSSELDORF. The stamp is a 1917 issue, Michel 101, 15Pf Germania stamp

FICHTELBERG

GESAMTVORSTAND DES ERZGEBIRGSVEREINS

No. 1 - UNTERKUNFTSHAUS AUF DEM FICHTELBERG 1214 m.ü.M.

The FICHTELBERG is the highest mountain in Saxony at an elevation of 1214m above sea level. Fichtelberghaus is a hotel/restaurant situated on the border of the Czech Republic and Germany near the spa town of OBERWIESENTHAL. The Fichtelberg offers phenomenal views with the nearby Keilberg, located in the Czech Republic, at a slightly higher elevation at 1244 meters.

The two examples below are identical except for the colour of the printing on the reverse side. Both feature 1916 issue, Michel 99 self-adhesive stamps. The example below-left was cancelled in OBERWIESENTHAL on 6th Aug 1916, whilst the example below-right was cancelled in RITTERSGRÜN on 24th Aug 1916.
