FRANZ ZABEL VERLAG, DESSAU
The publisher Franz Zabel Verlag produced a series of colour photo cards celebrating the men and machines of the German Wehrmacht. Featured below is series 7000, see also Series 14 and Series 17.
SERIES 7000
Series 7000 consists of 10 cards numbered 7061 to 7070 and is titled "JUNKERS STUKAS UND LUFTTRANSPORTER" - 'JUNKERS STUKAS AND AIR TRANSPORTERS'.
The cards were sold in a special envelope which can be seen below.

The text on the card reads "Wieder haben die Junker-Ju 87 - die Stukas - einen erfolgreichen Einsatz geflogen. Nun stehen sie gut ausgerichtet in der Abendsonne auf ihrem Feldflugplatz" - 'Once again, the Junkers Ju 87s – the Stukas – have flown a successful mission. Now they stand well aligned in the evening sun at their airfield.'

The card text reads "Junkers-Ju 88, das Horizontal- und Sturzkampfflugzeug der deutschen Luftwaffe, auf dem Feindfluge" - 'Junkers-Ju 88, the horizontal and dive attack aircraft of the German Air Force, on the enemy flight'

The inscription on the following card reads "Auf einem Feldflugplatz. Die Ju-88 müssen nach jedem Einsatz sofort wieder startklar gemacht werden. Bodenpersonal bei der Arbeit" - 'At a airfield. The Ju-88s must be made ready for takeoff immediately after each mission. Ground crew at work.'

The text on the card reads "Ein Blick in die Kanzel einer Junkers-Ju 88. Harte Entschlossenheit liegt auf den Gesichtern dieser Kampfgemeinschaft beim Einsatz gegen den Feind." - 'A look into the cockpit of a Junkers Ju 88. Hard determination is evident on the faces of this fighting community as they engage the enemy.'

The inscription reads "Eine Junkers-Ju 88 kehrt erfolgreich von ihrem Einsatz gegen den Feind zurück. Mit lachendem Gesicht berichtet ihr Führer von seinen Erfolgen am Feind" - 'A Junkers Ju 88 successfully returns from its mission against the enemy. With a smile on his face, its pilot reports on his successes against the enemy.'

"Ob über Wüstensand oder über dem weiten Ostraum, überall bringt der Junkers-Ju 52 Lufttransporter seine Lasten sicher zum befohlenen Ziel. Hier fliegt ein Transporter über norwegische Landschaft" - 'Whether over desert sand or the vast eastern region, the Junkers Ju 52 air transporter delivers its cargo safely to its designated destination. Here, a transporter flies over the Norwegian landscape.' is the inscription on this card.

The text on card no. 7067 reads "Durch Kälte, Schnee und Eis bringen die Junkers-Ju 52 Lufttransporter Nachschubmaterial nach dem hohen Norden bis zum Eismeer" - 'Through cold, snow and ice, the Junkers-Ju 52 air transporters bring supplies to the far north, all the way to the Arctic Ocean'

The following card has the inscription "Fallschirmtruppen sind von einer Junker-Ju 52 abgesetzt und bereiten sich zum Einsatz vor." - 'Paratroopers are dropped from a Junkers Ju 52 and are preparing for action.'

The next card has the texts "Weit im Süden über das Mittelmeer hinweg haben Junkers-Ju 52 Lufttransporter Nachschubmaterial nach Afrika gebracht und werden nun entladen" - 'Far to the south across the Mediterranean, Junkers Ju 52 air transporters have brought supplies to Africa and are now being unloaded'

The final card in his series reads "Die Junkers-Ju 90, viermotorige Transportflugzeuge, werden eingesetzt. Vom Einsatz zurück, werden diese riesigen Lufttransporter mit neuem Brennstoft versehen und sofort wieder zu neuem Einsatz fertiggemacht" - 'The Junkers Ju 90, four-engine transport aircraft, are deployed. Upon return from missions, these huge air transporters are refueled and immediately prepared for their next mission.'
