BACKGROUND: Exactly the same design and size as P156 only now with increased value pre-printed stamp. 20Rpf now instead of 5Rpf.

P157 exists in two variants:

P157-I: has all straight edges
P157-II: has one or more serrated edges.

Foreign postcards P157 and P159 were overprinted in Dresden with a rubber stamp "15Pf" above or below the value stamp and sold at the counter without the approval of the Reich Post Ministry.

In addition to the regular official card described above there was also a private printing.
