29th GERMAN PHILATELIST's DAY
BACKGROUND: There were two postcards used to comemmorate the 29th German Philatelist's Day from 26th to 29th Jul 1923 in the city of DRESDEN. The cards have the same inscription but different value stamps. In addition to the postcards there were a number of pre-printed envelopes available, some of which can be seen below.SPECIAL CANCEL: A special cancellation inscribed "29. PHILATELISTENTAG 1923 | DRESDEN" was available.
PP68-C-2
P68-C-2 had two pre-printed stamps: a 20 Mark 'Miners' and a 40 Mark 'Sowers' stamp for a total of 60 Marks.ABOVE: PP68-C-2
PP74-C-1
PP74-C-1 also had two pre-printed stamps: a 25 Mark 'wood pigeon' and a 40 Mark 'Sowers' stamp for a total of 50 Marks.REFERENCES:
