BACKGROUND: This official postcard was issued 1921 and features a 40Pf orange stamp with a image of a postal rider approacing a city. The card measures 140 x 90mm and the text below the stamp reads "Papierpreiszuschlag 5 Pf" which was a 5Pf surcharge.
The card exists in two different formats:
P141-I: that has four straight edges
P141-II: which has a serrated edge.
SPECIAL CANCEL: NOT APPLICABLE
As well as the regular P141 postcard there were a number of private printings available

DOMESTIC USAGE
1. The P141 card below was sent from ANKLAM to STRALSUND in the Mecklenburg region in northeastern Germany, on the Baltic coast. The postal date is 22.2.22, and as well as the pre-printed 40pf stamp the sender has added another 85pf of self-adhesive stamps for a total of 125pf.2. The following P141 postcard was sent to ULM on 21st Mar 1923
3. Another domestic usage, this time the card was mailed from HALLENDORF to BAMBERG on 16th Aug 1922
