BACKGROUND: Official postcard DP12 was issued in 1921 to take account of new postage rates. The value stamp is a pre-printed 30Pf stamp but without a "Deutsches Reich" overprint. The word "Postkarte" is printed directly over the top of the vertical dividing line.

There are two version of this card as follows:

DP12/01: with date code "2 21".
DP12/02: with date code "3 21".
