BACKGROUND: Issued in Aug 1944 this was the second of two identical (except for the colour) stamps designed by H. Frank and issued to commemorate the 1944 Vienna Derby. The stamp was printed by the Vienna State Printing Works. The race however never took place as it was canclled due to the total war effort.
