BACKGROUND: This is the first of two stamps issued on 27th Jul 1943 to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the birth of Peter Rosegger. The 6Rpf + 4Rpf was designed by Prof. Brunlechner and the 12Rpf + 8Rpf was designed by Fuchs. This stamp features the house where Rosegger was born.
